The appointment lasted about 30 minutes. That was 30 minutes of looking at the baby - every single part of it. We saw the brain and the feet (10 toes) and everything in between - the heart (all 4 chambers), bladder, backbone, belly, hands (10 fingers)...it was really cool. During this time, Dylan pretty much laid down on the floor with his lovey and chilled out. The rainy day must have pooped him out. It was only when we were about 2/3 into the appointment and I had to leave the room to empty my bladder so we could finish that Dylan popped up and started looking for pictures of the baby. What a silly guy!
When we got in the room, we told the ultrasound tech that if the baby was cooperative, finding out the sex was something we wanted to do. So, when she got to that part of the exam, she said "So you want to know the sex?" We both looked at the monitor and we knew immediately - we're having another boy!!!
Obviously, we would have been thrilled either way, but I was (not so) secretly hoping for another boy so I am unbelievably happy to be having another one. And, it was unquestionable - we got a couple of great shots from different angles to confirm the fact. He is definitely not a shy baby! I must also say, that although we only have some two dimensional shots of him, he is going to be a cutie!
