Nono! Under!

With all of our snow, Dylan's snowman (nono!) obsession that he adopted at Christmas continued through the months of January and February. Somewhere during the winter, he also loved the concept of "under" and applied it wherever possible.

We built the snowman and a snow fort (under!), which Mike later turned into a snow tunnel, back in January. Every night, in addition to saying goodnight to all the animals in his rooms, we have to open the shades, pull down the blinds and try to spot the nono and under. At first, you could actually spot the hat of the snowman from his room. After just a little snow melt, even that wasn't visible but we still have to look every single night.

A couple of weekends ago, I finally got out in the yard with the camera while the boys were playing with his half melted snowman and snow tunnel. And now, I'm sharing.

UNDER!
On Valentine's Day, we added another fun "under" to the household, a small red tent. We've had a lot of fun cramming ourselves in there with Dylan. Since it's often propped up next to his train table (and he's rarely without a train in his hands), we often play choo-choo in the tent. We've also had a lot of fun after dark in it. We turn off the lights and bring in a flashlight and\or the twilight turtle that puts stars and the moon on the ceiling. It's been a lot of fun for all the kids, big and little, at our house.

Under the Tent

The other big fun "under" game Dylan likes to play is when we're in the car. Every time we go under a bridge, we have to shout "UNDER!" If Mike and I are actually having a conversation and miss one, Dylan is quick to point it out. Those little ones really latch on to their favorite things, don't they?
